Description

Μικρό κυκλικό καπελάκι, το καβούκι, που έμπαινε στην κορυφή του κεφαλιού και αποτελούσε τη βάση του κεφαλόδεσμου. Λέγεται ότι πήρε το όνομά του από το λατινικό cavus, επειδή είναι ελαφρά κοίλο. Είναι φτιαγμένο από ατλάζι σε χρώμα καμένο πορτοκαλί και είναι παραγεμισμένο με βαμβάκι (“matelasse”). Στην κορυφή του, σε κύκλο διαμέτρου 7εκ., έχει τοποθετηθεί μεταξωτό ύφασμα χρώματος φούξια. Ολόγυρά του, ομόκεντρες κυκλικές ραφές που συγκρατούν την επένδυση. Στο εσωτερικό, φόδρα από υπόλευκο βαμβακερό.

Σε κακή κατάσταση. Το ατλάζι έχει ανοίξει και έχει βγει το βαμβάκι.
