Description
Αμύριστο λουλούδι, διακοσμητικό στοιχείο, εξάρτημα του γυναικείου βυσσιώτικου κεφαλοκαλύμματος γκούγκου που φορά με τα νυφ'κάτα, ενδυμασία του γάμου αλλά και γιορτινή, σε εξαιρετικές περιστάσεις. Γκούγκου ονομάζουν οι Βυσσιώτισσες το επίσημο χτένισμα τη νέας γυναίκας μαζί με τα στολίδια του. Γκούκου έκαναν τα κορίτσια από αρραβωνιασμένα και του γκούκου τα στολίδια αποτελούν ένα από τα πρώτα δώρα που στέλνει η πεθερά στη νύφη μετά τον αρραβώνα. Πρόκειται για τρία κλαδιά, διαφορετικών μεγεθών, σχηματισμένα από μεταλλικό σύρμα και επενδεδυμένα με πράσινο πλαστικό φύλλο από τα οποία "φύονται" μαβιά ανθάκια από συνθετικό ύφασμα με στήμονες και πράσινα φύλλα περασμένα βαράκι (φύλλο χρυσού).

Additional information
It was bought in Thessaloniki (at the same place where women from Vyssa go even to this day to buy them) from Nelli Mellidou Kefala, director of the Folklife and Ethnological Museum of Macedonia and Thrace, for the needs of the exhibition Traditional Costumes of Thrace at the Museum of History of the Greek Costume, Lyceum Club of Greek Women (2002).
