Description
Γραμμένη μαντήλα, λευκό, βαμβακερό μαντίλι κεφαλής, υφαντό στον αργαλειό από τις ίδιες τις γυναίκες. Πρόκειται για εξάρτημα του γυναικείου κεφαλοκαλύμματος των Μάρηδων και φοριέται τις Κυριακές και τις γορτές πάνω από το τσεμπέρι από τις ανύπαντρες και πάνω από την καλή μπαρμπούλα από τις αρραβωνιασμένες και τις παντρεμένες όσο είναι νέες. Αποτελείται από δύο φύλλα υφαντού, με κεντητή ένωση από λευκή βαμβακερή κλωστή, και στη μία στενή πλευρά έχει υφαντή διακόσμηση, καμωμένη με χιντί ( κόκκινο, αγοραστό, βαμβακερό νήμα), χράδι (γαλάζιο, αγοραστό, βαμβακερό νήμα), πράσινο και μαύρο μάλλινο νήμα αλλά και κροσσάκια μάλλινα και βαμβακερά σε χρώματα κόκκινο, λευκό, μπλε, πορτοκαλί και πράσινο στην απόληξη. Η κόκκινη ταινία που δημιουργείται είναι διακοσμημένη με σχηματοποιημένα μοτίβα, που ονομάζονται στεφανούδια σε δύο
σειρές. Στην απέναντι πλευρά υπάρχει μόνο ένα στενό κενάρι (ρίγα), που δημιουργείται από την επανάληψη πλάγιων παραλληλόγραμμων στα χρώματα του γενικού διακόσμου. Η πλευρά αυτή απολήγει σε κροσσάκια από το λευκό υφαντό. Τα αρχικά τετράγωνα μαντίλια, παλαιότερα διπλώνονταν και διευθετούνταν στο κεφάλι. Μεταπολεμικά διπλώνονταν και ράβονταν τρίγωνα, όπως αυτό.
