Description
Κουρούκλα ή τσιμπέρκα, γυναικείο μαντίλι από σκούρο βυσσινί (κρασετί) αραχνοΰφαντο βαμβακερό ύφασμα, κουρούκλα ή μούλι, εξάρτημα του γυναικείου κυπριακού κεφαλοκαλύμματος, συνήθως φερμένο από την Κωνσταντινούπολη. Είναι διακοσμημένο με σταμπωτά φυτικά μοτίβα, κλαδκιά: Ολόγυρα, στο κκενάριν ή ξωλούριν, μικρότερα μοτίβα και εσωτερικά στις γωνίες μεγαλύτερα. Στο κέντρο κυκλικό φυτικό μοτίβο, σα στεφανάκι. Στην απόληξη είναι διακοσμημένο με επίρραπτη τρέσα χρυσή με κροσσωτή απόληξη, σε απομίμηση της κεντητής πιπίλλας που συνήθως έχουν τα κυπριακά μαντίλια (μεταγενέστερη προσθήκη). Τα μαντίλια τα στάμπωναν ειδικοί τεχνίτες, οι μαντηλάρηδες, και την πιπίλλα την έπλεκαν οι ίδιες οι γυναίκες, οι κόρες των μαντηλάρηδων ή άλλες τεχνίτρες.
