Description
Κάρπα, λευκή βαμβακερή υφαντή πετσέτα με ενυφασμένα πολύχρωμα σχέδια στις άκρες της και κροσωτή απόληξη. Αποτελεί παλαιότερο εξάρτημα της γυναικείας φορεσιάς των Αλώνων, καθώς αντικαταστάθηκε αρχικά από αγοραστό μαντίλι που το διπλώναν και το φορούσαν κατά τον ίδιο τρόπο, ενώ αργότερα τη θέση του πήρε τεμάχιο φαρδιάς κορδέλας του μέτρου. Ανάμνηση αυτής της συνήθειας αποτελεί ένα μικρό κομματάκι κορδέλας του εμπορίου που συναντάμε στις ποδιές της περιοχής, ραμμένο λοξά πάνω δεξιά. Το σχήμα της κάρπας είναι ορθογώνιο παραλληλόγραμμο και διπλώνεται στα δύο. Τη φορούν από τη μέση της ποδιάς προς τα δεξιά, την περνούν στο ζωνάρι και ό,τι περισσεύει πέφτει στο πλάι. Φέρει ενυφασμένες οριζόντιες ρίγες που εναλλάσσονται χρωματικά, με μπλε και κόκκινες κλωστές. Οι άκρες της στολίζονται με ενυφασμένο
διάκοσμο πλάτους 5εκ. με πυκνά χρωματιστά (κόκκινα-μπλε-κίτρινα) γραμμικά μοτίβα.
