Description
Ζουνάρι με την κορόνα, βαριά μπακιρένια, μαλαμοκαπνισμένη σπονδυλωτή ζώνη με χυτή πόρπη δουλεμένη με την τεχνική του σμάλτου. Αποτελεί χαρακτηριστικό και βασικό εξάρτημα της γυναικείας φορεσιάς του Σουφλιού, των Μεταξάδων, καθώς και της ενδυματολογικής ομάδας του Μέγα Ζαλουφιού Ανατολικής Θράκης. Η ζώνη αυτή ήταν δώρο του αρραβώνα και φοριόταν από τις νέες γυναίκες, ώσπου ν' αποκτήσουν τα πρώτα τους παιδιά. Η σπονδυλωτή ζώνη αποτελείται από χυτές μαλαμοκαπνισμένες πλάκες (σπονδύλους) περασμένες σε λινάτσα. Η εντυπωσιακή πόρπη, η κορόνα, είναι διακοσμημένη με σμάλτο που καλύπτει τον κάμπο της. Η τεχνική του σμάλτου υπηρετεί την ανάγκη της πολυχρωμίας και είναι τεχνική που είχε αναπτυχθεί ιδιαίτερα στη βυζαντινή εποχή και χαρακτηρίζει μερικά από τα πολυτιμότερα έργα της μεταβυζαντινής μικροτεχνίας. Η πόρπη είναι στολισμένη με
απλές γυάλινες χρωματιστές πέτρες σε βαθύ κόκκινο και πράσινο χρώμα, με ανθικά θέματα και με κεντρικό διακοσμητικό μοτίβο στην κορυφή της, έναν δικέφαλο αητό. Η πόρπη κλείνει με μεταλλική καρφίδα. Το ζουνάρι με την κορόνα είναι έργο των κουγιουμτζήδων της Θράκης και αποτελεί αντιπροσωπευτικό παράδειγμα των τζοβαϊρικών σμαλτάτων.
