Description
Αλυσιδωτό κόσμημα ποδιάς με δούλο (γάντζο). Πρόκειται για κόσμημα που συναντάται στη Λητή και στο Δρυμό, καθώς και στα χωριά με συγγενικό ενδυματολογικό τύπο. Από έναν πτηνόμορφο γάντζο εξαρτώνται δύο αλυσίδες και μία πλάκα με εγχάρακτη διακόσμηση γεμισμένη με μαύρο σαβάτι. Το σαβάτι είναι ένα ξεχωριστό είδος σμάλτου, ιδιαίτερα αγαπητό, που απαντάται σε πολλές ομάδες κοσμημάτων. Το έφτιαχναν, σύμφωνα με τη βυζαντινή παράδοση του νιέλο, λιώνοντας ασήμι, χαλκό, μολύβι και κερί του θειαφιού και με τη μάζα αυτή γέμιζαν τα σχέδια, που προηγουμένως είχαν χαράξει πάνω στην επιφάνεια του μετάλλου. Από τη βάση της πλάκας εξαρτώνται κοντές αλυσίδες με μεταλλικά ελάσματα.
