The Lykeion ton Ellinidon is organised into Sections which were formed in order to better achieve its multiple goals.
In the 1911 Statute only four Sections were included, comprising individual sub-sections. Within a decade the Sections trebled either with the formation of new ones or with the upgrade of sub-sections into Sections. This procedure continued during the entire period between the two world wars with the creation of new Sections many of which were short lived or soon renamed.
Since the 1950’s any change in the Sections that has to do with their creation, change of name or disbandment has had to be approved by the General Assembly and be followed by an alteration of the institution’s Statute.
Today the LtE is organised into 22 Sections.
