Description
Βελούδινη ζώνη, επονομαζόμενη τσ' καπτσαλούς, σε χρώμα κόκκινο, με λεπτό και πυκνό χρυσοκέντημα κατά το βυζαντινό τρόπο των χρυσοπάστων. Γίνεται από ειδική τεχνίτρα, την καπιτσαλού, που κεντά τη ζώνη με τον τσελντέ, ένα τρίγωνο τελάρο. Η τεχνική του κεντήματος είναι ίδια με το συρμακέσικο κέντημα και γίνεται πάντα πάνω σε βελούδο ή μεταξωτό ύφασμα. Απαραίτητες για το κέντημα είναι δύο βελόνες, η μία με βαμβακερή κλωστή, η άλλη με μετάξι και με χρυσόνημα ή καθαρό χρυσό, όπως επίσης κι ένα σουβλί με ξύλινο χερούλι. Το σχέδιο του κεντήματος κόβεται σε χαρτί και προσαρμόζεται στην επάνω επιφάνεια του υφάσματος ενώ από κάτω προσαρμόζεται λεπτό χαρτόνι. Η ζώνη διακοσμείται από γερτά φύλλα και ενδιάμεσους σταυρούς. Στο μέσον της ζώνης είναι κεντημένος δικέφαλος
αετός. Μικρά, χρυσοκέντητα ανθάκια, μπλίρες (πούλιες), πολύχρωμα αστρουλάκια και το τιρτίρι στο περίγραμμα συμπληρώνουν τον διάκοσμο.
