Description
Περούκλια ή κοσίδια, δύο μεγάλες και χοντρές πλεξούδες ("κόσες") που τοποθετούνται στο κεφάλι σχηματίζοντας κουλούρα. Απ' αυτές τις πλεξούδες παίρνει την ονομασία του ο παλαιότερος τύπος κεφαλόδεσμου της γυναικείας μετσοβίτικης φορεσιάς. Οι πλεξούδες έχουν μήκος περίπου 55εκ. και είναι καμωμένες από τα ίδια τα μαλλιά των Μετσοβιτισσών, τα οποία για πολλά χρόνια συγκέντρωναν. Τα μαλλιά αυτά μαζί με τρίχες αλόγου τα έδιναν σε ειδικές γυναίκες (χτενίστρες), οι οποίες τα χτενίζαν σε κόσες που τις άλειφαν με άγριο μέλι ή με μια κόλλα προερχόμενη από δέντρα, όπως αμυγδαλιά, καρυδιά και κερασιά, για να γυαλίσουν και να κολλήσουν. Κάτω από τα περούκλια φέρεται μεταξωτό πολύχρωμο μαντίλι, η αλεπισκάνικα, που διπλώνεται κατάλληλα για να τα συγκρατήσει. Τα υπόλοιπα εξαρτήματα που συνθέτουν το κεφαλόδεσμο
είναι το φεσάκι (μικρό μαύρο πίλημα) και ο πετές με τη φούντα χρυσάφι, ένα μικρό στρογγυλό χρυσοκέντημα με χρυσά κρόσια ολόγυρα, που έμπαινε πάνω στο φέσι. Τα περούκλια είναι διακοσμημένα με δύο επίρραπτα φλουριά.
