Description
Καρφίτσα του τζάκου, συρματερό κόσμημα κορμού στολισμένο με ποικιλόχρωμες γυάλινες πέτρες. Η επιφάνεια της καρφίτσας δίνει την αίσθηση μιας λεπτεπίλεπτης αργυρόπλεχτης δαντέλας. Ο διάκοσμός της στηρίζεται στη σύνθεση σχηματοποιημένων ανθικών και φυτικών θεμάτων με την επανάληψη βασικών στοιχείων, όπως είναι οι σπείρες, η έλικα και τα λεπτότατα επίθετα ρομβόσχημα και κυκλικά ελάσματα. Χρωματιστές πέτρες, κόκκινες, πράσινες, γαλάζιες, μπλε, άσπρες διαφανείς και τυρκουάζ, φωτίζουν την επιφάνειά της χαρίζοντας της χρώμα. Στην κορυφή της καρφίτσας είναι επίθετη η κεφαλή της Θεάς Αθηνάς, ενώ στις πλαϊνές πλευρές της, δύο χέρια που κρατούν στεφάνια. Από τη βάση της εξαρτώνται φυλλόσχημα τετραμίδια. Πρόκειται για κόσμημα που στολίζει τη γυναικεία αμφίεση της Αττικής.
