Description
Τριγωνικό, βυσσινί μεταξωτό μαντίλι με κρόσια. Πρόκειται για το σπαλέτο, ή σπαλέτα, το δυτικής προέλευσης μπροστομάντιλο που φορούν οι νύφες και οι παντρεμένες Λευκαδίτισσες. Το σπαλέτο, κανονικά σε σχήμα τετράγωνο, διπλωμένο στα δύο ώστε να σχηματίζει τρίγωνο, καλύπτει τους ώμους και σταυρώνει μπροστά στο στήθος, φτάνοντας πίσω μέχρι και κάτω από τη μέση. Το συγκεκριμένο κρέπι έχει μάλλον προκύψει από το κόψιμο ενός κανονικού μαντιλιού στα δύο. Το τριγωνικό περίγραμμα του φιοράτου μαντιλιού παρακολουθεί λεπτή μπορντούρα από δύο παρεμφερή σχηματοποιημένα φυτικά μοτίβα που εναλλάσσονται μεταξύ τους. Στην προέκταση της γωνίας, από κεντρική παιωνία εκφύονται ολόγυρά της λεπτοί, εύκαμπτοι μίσχοι με λουλούδια, μπουκέτα και φύλλα.
