Description
Τριγωνικό, υπόλευκο μεταξωτό μαντίλι με κρόσια. Πρόκειται για το σπαλέτο ή σπαλέτα, το δυτικής προέλευσης μπροστομάντιλο που φορούν οι νύφες και οι παντρεμένες Λευκαδίτισσες. Το σπαλέτο έχει κανονικά σχήμα τετράγωνο και διπλώνεται στα δύο ώστε να σχηματίσει τρίγωνο. Καλύπτει τους ώμους και σταυρώνει μπροστά στο στήθος, φτάνοντας πίσω μέχρι και κάτω από τη μέση. Αποτελείται από τρία κομμάτια υφάσματος, ένα μεγάλο κεντρικό και δυό μικρά στο πλάι, προσεκτικά ραμμένα μεταξύ τους, αν και η ασυνέχεια στο κέντημα προδίδει τη συρραφή. Το κρέπι είναι φιοράτο, πλούσια κεντημένο με μεγάλα και μικρά λουλούδια, ευλύγιστους μίσχους και καλοσχηματισμένα φύλλα. Στις δύο πλαϊνές πλευρές στολίζεται με μεγάλο, χοντρό κρόσι, ύψους 24εκ.
