Description
Μεταλλική, επιχρυσωμένη καρφίτσα κεφαλής σε σχήμα πεταλούδας με στρασάκια λευκά στα φτερά και τον κορμό και κόκκινα στα μάτια. Στερεώνεται με τσίμπα, βελόνα, γύρω από τον κότσο των μαλλιών. Πρόκειται για εξάρτημα του γυναικείου κεφαλοκαλύμματος γκούγκου ή γκότσα που κάνουν οι Βυσσιώτισσες όταν φορούν τα νυφ'κάτα, νυφική ενδυμασία που φοριέται και μετά το γάμο σε εξαιρετικές περιστάσεις.

It was bought in Thessaloniki (at the same place where women from Vyssa go even to this day to buy them) from Nelli Mellidou Kefala, director of the Folklife and Ethnological Museum of Macedonia and Thrace, for the needs of the exhibition Traditional Costumes of Thrace at the Museum of History of the Greek Costume, Lyceum Club of Greek Women (2002).
