Description
Σταμπωτό, μαντίλι, εξάρτημα του γυναικείου κεφαλοκαλύματος της νότιας Ρόδου. Είναι φτιαγμένο από βαμβάκι υπόλευκο στη Βιοτεχνία Ελληνικών Μαντηλιών του Οικονομόπουλου και φέρει στη μία γωνία τη σφραγίδα του κατασκευαστή. Ο διάκοσμος είναι φυτικός (σχέδιο "τριαντάφυλλο" της Δωδεκανήσου, σύμφωνα με τον Οικονομόπουλο): ολόγυρα μπορντούρα με πράσινα και κίτρινα φύλλα, μπλε ανθάκια και κόκκινα τριαντάφυλλα, μεγάλα στο κέντρο και μικρότερα στο πλάι. Εσωτερικά, στις τέσσερις γωνίες, ίδιο μοτίβο με τρία τριαντάφυλλα που σχηματίζουν γωνία. Ολόγυρα καρικωμένο με υπόλευκη μεταξοκλωστή.
