Description
Μπόλια, μακρόστενο μαντίλι από τούλι κρεμ, εξάρτημα του γιορτινού γυναικείου κεφαλοκαλύμματος. Το πλούσιο κέντημα με υπόλευκη μεταξοκλωστή σχηματίζει επάλληλους κύκλους που περιπλέκονται μεταξύ τους και στο κέντρο πυκνό κόμβο. Ολόγυρα το μαντίλι έχει μέρλα, επίρραπτη δαντέλα του εμπορίου, με γλωσσωτή απόληξη στις μακριές πλευρές, δαντέλα που σχηματίζει πιετάκια με πιο πυκνή πλέξη και ανθάκια στις στενές. Τα μαντίλια συνήθιζαν να τα ινκολλάρουν: διέλυαν την κόλλα σε νερό, μούσκευαν το ύφασμα, το τύλιγαν σε μία πετσέτα και ύστερα το σιδέρωναν. Έτσι, το μαντίλι αποκτούσε το κατάλληλο ύψος.
