Description
Μπαρμπούλα, βαμβακερό μαντίλι, εξάρτημα του γυναικείου κεφαλοκαλύμματος της νιόπαντρης. Ο σταμπωτός διάκοσμος του μαντιλιού είναι εξαιρετικά πλούσιος. Φυλλοφόρο κλαδί, κατάφορτο με λουλούδια κόκκινα, μπλε και καφέ περιτρέχει την επιφάνεια. Από τις γωνίες του φύονται παρακλάδια που υψώνονται διαγώνια προς το κέντρο και το εσωτερικό του βαθυκίτρινου κάμπου έτσι, ώστε να φαίνεται ότι η πολύπλοκη σύνθεση είναι συνεχόμενη. Ο κάμπος που απομένει στο κέντρο σχηματίζει μεγάλο σταυρό. Ολόγυρα το μαντίλι είναι γαρνιρισμένο με επίρραπτη, λεπτή δαντέλα εμπορίου με γλωσσωτές απολήξεις, καμωμένη από μαύρη βαμβακερή κλωστή.
