Description
Κουρούκλα ή τσιμπέρκα, γυναικείο μαντίλι από σκούρο βυσσινί (κρασετί) αραχνοΰφαντο βαμβακερό ύφασμα, κουρούκλα ή μούλι, εξάρτημα του γυναικείου κυπριακού κεφαλοκαλύμματος, συνήθως φερμένο από την Κωνσταντινούπολη. Είναι διακοσμημένο με σταμπωτά φυτικά μοτίβα, κλαδκιά: Ολόγυρα, στο κκενάριν ή ξωλούριν, μικρότερα μοτίβα και εσωτερικά στις γωνίες μεγαλύτερα. Στο κέντρο κυκλικό φυτικό μοτίβο, σα στεφανάκι. Στην απόληξη είναι διακοσμημένο με πολύ μικρή πιπίλλα από χρυσοκλωστή. Όπου αυτή έχει φθαρεί, μεταγενέστερα έχει προστεθεί (επίρραπτα) κίτρινη τρέσα του εμπορίου (με απόληξη που να μοιάζει με την αρχική) αλλά και χρυσή με κροσσωτή απόληξη. Τα μαντίλια τα στάμπωναν ειδικοί τεχνίτες, οι μαντηλάρηδες, και την πιπίλλα την έπλεκαν οι ίδιες οι γυναίκες, οι κόρες των μαντηλάρηδων ή άλλες τεχνίτρες.
