Description
Χούφτες, ζεύγος επιμάνικων που φοριούνται πάνω από τα καβαδομάνικα. Είναι δώρο του γαμπρού προς τη νύφη και φοριούνται από τις αρραβωνιασμένες, τις νύφες και τις νιόπαντρες. Πρόκειται για τραπεζιόσχημες, επιμήκεις ταινίες που κλείνουν με κόπιτσα στην εσωτερική πλευρά του βραχίονα και εκτείνονται από την κλείδωση του αγκώνα και προς τα πάνω. Οι χούφτες φτιάχνονται και κεντιώνται από το ράφτη. Εσωτερικά είναι ενισχυμένες με καναβάτσο και ύστερα ασταρωμένες (φοδραρισμένες) με μπλε βαμβακερό ύφασμα, κάμποτο και πράσινο κατφέ (βελούδο). Η διακόσμησή τους είναι καμωμένη με χρυσό κορδόνι που καλύπτει σχεδόν όλη την κύρια ζώνη διακόσμησης. Από κάτω προς τα πάνω έχουμε αρχικά δύο κυματιστές γραμμές και ύστερα ζέχια (ευθείες γραμμές), μπορντούρα με κλήμα (σχηματοποιημένο φυτικό μοτίβο), δύο οχτάρια (οριζόντια, δίλοβα μοτίβα), που
είναι το κύριο μοτίβο διακόσμησης, καμωμένα με αργυρόνημα και πούλιες, ζέχια από κορδόνι χρυσό και κοσανίτσα (πλεχτό, δίχρωμο κορδόνι) μεταξωτή, μπορντούρα με κλάρα (σχηματοποιημένο φυτικό μοτίβο) και τέλος πάλι ζέχια.
