Description
Χούφτες, ζεύγος επιμάνικων που φοριούνται πάνω από τα καβαδομάνικα. Είναι δώρο του γαμπρού προς τη νύφη και φοριούνται από τις αρραβωνιασμένες, τις νύφες και τις νιόπαντρες. Πρόκειται για τραπεζιόσχημες, επιμήκεις ταινίες που κλείνουν με κόπιτσα στην εσωτερική πλευρά του βραχίονα και εκτείνονται από την κλείδωση του αγκώνα και προς τα πάνω. Οι χούφτες φτιάχνονται και κεντιώνται από το ράφτη. Εσωτερικά είναι ενισχυμένες με καναβάτσο και ύστερα ασταρωμένες (φοδραρισμένες) με γκρι βαμβακερό και πράσινο και κίτρινο μάλλινο ύφασμα και μπλε ρούχο (τσόχα). Η τερζήδικη διακόσμησή τους είναι καμωμένη με ασημένιο κορδόνι. Από κάτω προς τα πάνω έχουμε αρχικά δύο κυματιστές γραμμές, καμάρες, και ύστερα ζέχια (ευθείες γραμμές), μπορντούρα με κλήμα (σχηματοποιημένο φυτικό μοτίβο), δύο οχτάρια (οριζόντια, δίλοβα μοτίβα), που είναι το
κύριο μοτίβο διακόσμησης, ζέχια, μπορντούρα με κλήμα και τέλος πάλι ζέχια.
