Description
Χούφτες, ζεύγος επιμάνικων που φοριούνται πάνω από τα καβαδομάνικα. Είναι δώρο του γαμπρού προς τη νύφη και φοριούνται από τις αρραβωνιασμένες, τις νύφες και τις νιόπαντρες. Πρόκειται για τραπεζιόσχημες, επιμήκεις ταινίες που κλείνουν με κόπιτσα στην εσωτερική πλευρά του βραχίονα και εκτείνονται από την κλείδωση του αγκώνα και προς τα πάνω. Οι χούφτες φτιάχνονται και κεντιώνται από το ράφτη. Εσωτερικά είναι ενισχυμένες με καναβάτσο και ύστερα ασταρωμένες (φοδραρισμένες) με πράσινο και γκρι βαμβακερό ύφασμα αλλά και κάμποτο. Η τερζήδικη διακόσμησή τους είναι καμωμένη με χρυσό κορδόνι που καλύπτει σχεδόν όλη την κύρια ζώνη διακόσμησης. Από κάτω προς τα πάνω έχουμε αρχικά κύκλα με ματάκι (κυματιστή γραμμή με κύκλους), ζέχια (ευθείες γραμμές), δύο οχτάρια (οριζόντια, δίλοβα μοτίβα), που είναι το κύριο
μοτίβο διακόσμησης και πάλι ζέχια. Τις πλαϊνές πλευρές των οχταριών διακοσμούν θηλίτσες σε καμπύλη διάταξη.
