Description
Μπούρλα, κόσμημα στήθους, εξάρτημα της νυφικής ενδυμασίας τα νυφ'κάτα, την οποία φορούν οι Βυσσιώτισσες και μετά το γάμο σε εξαιρετικές περιστάσεις. Σε χρυσό ιερατικό σειρήτι με κίτρινους ενυφασμένους σταυρούς και μικρά φυτικά μοτίβα είναι στερεωμένα στο κέντρο έξι μεγάλα και εκατέρωθεν αυτών από τρία μικρά φλουριά. Τα μεγάλα στη μία όψη εικονίζουν ανάγλυφη γυναικεία φιγούρα και ολόγυρα επιγραφή: "MARIA·THERESIA · D:G:REG:HUNG:BOH:". Στην άλλη όψη εικονίζεται θυρεός με ολόγυρα επιγραφή "TYRO:1760·ARCHIDVX AYSTRIAE·DVX·BVR:COM·". Τα μικρότερα φλουριά έχουν εγχάρακτα ακατάληπτα σχέδια, πιθανόν αραβουργήματα. Τα φλουριά αυτά δεν είναι μεταλλικά (πιθανότατα πλαστικά), επιχρυσωμένα. Παλαιότερα η μπούρλα είχε επίρραπτες ντούμπλες και φλουριά μεταλλικά.

It was bought in Thessaloniki (at the same place where women from Vyssa go even to this day to buy them) from Nelli Mellidou Kefala, director of the Folklife and Ethnological Museum of Macedonia and Thrace, for the needs of the exhibition Traditional Costumes of Thrace at the Museum of History of the Greek Costume, Lyceum Club of Greek Women (2002).
