Description
Διακοσμητική μαξιλαροθήκη από υφαντό βαμβακερό ύφασμα, καμωμένη από τη συρραφή δυο τμημάτων ποδόγυρου μεγάλου ποκάμισου. Το μεγάλο ποκάμισο αποτελεί εξάρτημα της γυναικείας φορεσιάς της Αγιάννας και φοριέται μαζί με άλλα δύο πουκάμισα, το ένα πάνω στο άλλο έτσι, ώστε οι ποδόγυροί τους να είναι αλλεπάλληλα τοποθετημένοι και να δίνουν την εντύπωση ενός πλούσια κεντημένου ποδόγυρου πουκάμισου. Και τα δύο τμήματα του ποδόγυρου φέρουν φαρδύ κέντημα (πλάτους 14εκ. το καθένα) με πολύχρωμα μετάξια. Τη διακόσμηση συνθέτει μια ενιαία σκουρόχρωμη κεντητή ταινία που περιλαμβάνει οκτώ ταινιόσχημα θέματα, των οποίων τα περιγράμματα τονίζονται με μωβ, πράσινα και κεραμιδί μετάξια. Τα μοτίβα που περικλείουν είναι εναλλάξ γεωμετρικά και σχηματοποιημένα ανθικά, καμωμένα με πολύχρωμες μεταξοκλωστές. Με τη σχηματοποίησή τους αποδίδουν το σχέδιο που τοπικά είναι
γνωστό ως Μάης διπλός.
