Description
Φούστα από στόφα μεταξωτή σκούρου μπλε χρώματος που φοριέται με τα νυφ'κάτα, νυφική ενδυμασία που οι Βυσσιώτισσες φορούν και μετά το γάμο σε εξαιρετικές περιστάσεις. Είναι τετράφυλλη, πολύ φαρδιά, δένει στη μέση με τη βοήθεια μαύρης βαμβακερής κορδέλας και φτάνει ως τα φιλάρια (μαύρα δετά παπούτσια). Είναι αφοδράριστη εκτός από τον ποδόγυρο, όπου είναι φοδραρισμένη με μαύρο βαμβακερό ύφασμα. Στη μέση έχει πρόσθετο ίδιο μαύρο ύφασμα, από όπου περνά η κορδέλα. Ο διάκοσμός της είναι ενυφασμένος: κλαδιά κατάφορτα με ανθάκια και φυλλαράκια σχηματίζουν πλέγμα σε ολόκληρο το ένδυμα. Ο γύρος της φούστας είναι ολόγυρα γαρνιρισμένος με μαύρο, μάλλινο γαϊτάνι, στερεωμένο σε μαύρη, μάλλινη, επίρραπτη κορδέλα.

It was bought in Thessaloniki (at the same place where women from Vyssa go even to this day to buy them) from Nelli Mellidou Kefala, director of the Folklife and Ethnological Museum of Macedonia and Thrace, for the needs of the exhibition Traditional Costumes of Thrace at the Museum of History of the Greek Costume, Lyceum Club of Greek Women (2002).
