Description
Καπχαδένιος μεντενές, κοντό μανικωτό ζακέτο, εξάρτημα της γυναικείας νυφικής φορεσιάς της Σκύρου. Το ζακέτο είναι καμωμένο από μεταξωτή στόφα σε κόκκινο χρώμα με ενυφασμένα ανθικά μοτίβα με εκρού μεταξοκλωστή. Είναι διακοσμημένο με χρυσό γαϊτάνι ολόγυρα, ενώ στο γύρο των μανικιών και στα δύο μπροστινά ανοίγματα είναι γαρνιρισμένο με χρυσοκλωστή που σχηματίζει θηλιές. Είναι εφαρμοστό και κατακόρυφο ανοιχτό μπροστά. Στα δύο πλάγια φέρει ανοίγματα, τα λαντζόλια. Τα μανίκια του είναι μακριά και κομμένα στο ίσο. Στο κάτω τμήμα τους φαρδαίνουν ελάχιστα και στο σημείο της ραφής είναι ανοιχτά, από τον αγκώνα και κάτω. Τα δύο φύλλα που σχηματίζονται λέγονται καπάκια και είναι φοδραρισμένα με τέσσερα κομμάτια διαφορετικού υφάσματος, προφανώς για να καλυφθεί στα σημεία εκείνα η φθορά του αρχικού υφάσματος που
υπάρχει ως φόδρα στο υπόλοιπο τμήμα των μανικιών. Το κορμί του ζακέτου είναι φοδραρισμένο με κάμποτο.
