Description
Παπάζι, μακρύ και πολυποίκιλο στέλεχος φεσιού που καταλήγει σε μακριά μπλε μεταξωτή φούντα. Είναι καμωμένο από χρυσοκλωστή και τιρ-τιρ πλεγμένα ως κοτσίδα. Το παπάζι αποτελεί τμήμα του φεσιού, κεφαλοκάλυμμα της γυναικείας αστικής φορεσιάς της Πελοποννήσου και των Αθηνών, γνωστής ως "Αμαλία". Πρόκειται για τη φορεσιά που διαδόθηκε μετά το 1835 από τη βασίλισσα Αμαλία και καθιερώθηκε ως εθνική ενδυμασία.
