Description
Μικρό κυκλικό καπελάκι, το καβούκι, που έμπαινε στην κορυφή του κεφαλιού και αποτελούσε τη βάση του κεφαλόδεσμου. Λέγεται ότι πήρε το όνομά του από το λατινικό cavus, επειδή είναι ελαφρά κοίλο. Είναι φτιαγμένο από βυσσινί ατλάζι και είναι παραγεμισμένο με βαμβάκι ("matelasse"). Στην κορυφή του, σε κύκλο διαμέτρου 7,5εκ., έχει τοποθετηθεί μεταξωτή στόφα: σε υπόλευκο κάμπο, χρυσοκίτρινες μεταξοκλωστές (μοιάζουν να) σχηματίζουν σχηματοποιημένο φυτικό διάκοσμο. Ολόγυρά της, ομόκεντρες κυκλικές ραφές που συγκρατούν την επένδυση. Στο εσωτερικό, υπόλευκη βαμβακερή φόδρα.
