Description
Μικρό κυκλικό καπελάκι, το καβούκι, που έμπαινε στην κορυφή του κεφαλιού και αποτελούσε τη βάση του κεφαλόδεσμου. Λέγεται ότι πήρε το όνομά του από το λατινικό cavus, επειδή είναι ελαφρά κοίλο. Είναι φτιαγμένο από ατλάζι σε χρώμα καμένο πορτοκαλί και είναι παραγεμισμένο με βαμβάκι ("matelasse"). Στην κορυφή του, κύκλος διαμέτρου 7εκ. έχει ντυθεί με μεταξωτό ύφασμα χρώματος φούξια. Ολόγυρά του, ομόκεντρες κυκλικές ραφές συγκρατούν την επένδυση. Στο εσωτερικό, φόδρα από υπόλευκο βαμβακερό.
