Description
Γυναικείο χασεδένιο εσώρουχο που αντιγράφει το γελέκι, είδος στηθόδεσμου που φοριόταν μόνον από τις παντρεμένες. Το γελέκι φοριόταν πάντα άσπρο, ήταν άλλοτε ασπροκεντημένο κι άλλοτε όχι και παλιότερα είχε πάνινα ή και κεντημένα κουμπιά. Τα νεότερα άσπρα, κοινά κουμπιά τα έλεγαν μαργαριταρόζες. Έχει τετράγωνο άνοιγμα στο στήθος και στην πλάτη, και συγκρατείται από λεπτές τιράντες. Κουμπώνει μπροστά με τέσσερα κουμπιά. Δεξιά και αριστερά στο στήθος σχηματίζονται δυο τρίγωνα με νερβίρ (nervures) σε ενισχυμένο "τσεπάκι". Πρόκειται πιθανότατα για ανάμνηση της ενίσχυσης με καλάμια μήκους 10εκ. περίπου, που έμπαιναν αραδιασμένα σε κατακόρυφες υποδοχές. Μαζί με το ύφασμα ή τα μαντίλια που γέμιζαν το κενό ανάμεσα στο γελέκι και το πουκάμισο, αναδείκνυαν τον μπούστο. Τον καλοσχηματισμένο μπούστο έλεγαν πόντζο ή μπαλκόνι.
