Folklore and ethnic style costumes
This collection includes garments and accessories from more recent years, with references to ancient and Byzantine art as well as to folk culture.
Noteworthy examples include creations by Greek fashion houses, inspired by Greek folk art and its motifs, traces and techniques, as well as garments and accessories created using costume remnants or where decorative embroidery and weaving have been incorporated.
The collection also includes representative samples of the Olympic Airlines flight attendant uniforms, which were designed in 1976 based on Sarakatsani motifs.
Highlights

Created in 2006 by students at IEK DELTA, under the supervision of designer Philemon, then the Director of the DELTA Group’s Fashion Academy, as part of the programme “Regional traditional costumes.
