Description
Καναλωτή φούστα από τη φορεσιά της Σίφνου. Η φορεσιά που έχει στενή σχέση με τα αστικά ενδυματολογικά σύνολα της Οθωμανικής αυτοκρατορίας, αποκτά "αέρα" δυτικής Ευρώπης χάρη στις ξενόφερτες στόφες δεύτερης ποιότητας ("bon pour l' orient") που υφαίνονταν κυρίως στη Λυών της Γαλλίας. Η φούστα είναι φτιαγμένη από επτά φύλλα στόφας (πλάτους 46-48εκ.), που πτυχώνονται σε σαράντα πιέτες (κανάλια). Η μέση και το στρίφωμα είναι από μπεζ βαμβακομέταξο ύφασμα. Το κλείσιμο στη μέση γίνεται με δύο κόπιτσες. Η στόφα από μεταξωτό σατέν σε χλωμό χρυσαφί χρώμα διακοσμείται από επαναλαμβαλόμενο ανθικό μοτίβο: ελεύθερα φυλλωτά κλαδιά στηρίζουν μεγάλο λουλούδι από την κορυφή του οποίου κυματίζουν κομψοί μίσχοι με ανθάκια και φύλλα.
