Diary 1991

Replicas of costumes inspired by Minoan, ancient Greek and Byzantine garments, from a collection created by the Lykeion ton Ellinidon at the beginning of the 20th century, as well as regional costumes of the extended Greek territory, are presented in an effort to show the development of women's dress within the historical Greek territory from the 2nd millennium B.C. to the end of the 19th century.

Frescoes, lithographs and coins from the National Archaeological Museum, the Numismatic Museum, the Archaeological Resources Fund, the "Ekdotiki Athinon" and the Peloponnesian Folklore Foundation complement the topics.

The publication comprises a text on Greek costumes and jewlery from the past and the present signed by the costume and set designer Ioanna Papantoniou.
